Indian Air force aircraft crashes in Karnataka; Pilots ejected safely

Bengaluru: A Surya Kiran training aircraft of the Indian Air Force on Thursday crashed near Bogapura village in Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka. The incident took place during a routine training flight. However, both pilots ejected themselves from the aircraft and they are safe. A female pilot was also on board.

As per the information, a court of inquiry has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident. The trainer aircraft taken off from the Air Force base in Bengaluru and it crashed near Bhogapur village in the morning.

According to the Air Force, the pilots were on a routine exercise when the accident took place. A Court of Inquiry will be done to ascertain the cause of the accident. 

The Air Force tweeted, “Air Force Kiran training aircraft crashed today near Chamarajanagar in Karnataka. it was on a routine training flight. Both the crew members ejected safely and both are stable. A Court of Inquiry will be done to ascertain the cause of the accident.”
