India is all set to begin trials of the Zorawar light tank by the end of this year to combat the threats from the Chinese front.
What is Zorawar Light Tank?
Zorawar is called Bahadur in Punjabi language. This is an armored fighting vehicle. It will be made in such a way that its armor is not affected by even the biggest weapons. The people sitting inside remained safe. Its lethality should be lethal. Also, it can run at better speed. Modern communication technology will be installed inside.
Zoravar tank has been designed by DRDO. The pictures here are models of the same tank. The work of making it has been given to Larsen & Turbo. Indian Army needs 350 such tanks. These tanks will be of only 25 tonnes. Only three people will be required to run them.

Significance Of Zorawar Light Tank
This tank is named after General Zorawar Singh Kahluria, who led a military expedition on Kailash-Mansarovar during the Sino-Sikh War in 1841. India first wanted to buy such tanks from Russia. But later it was decided to make it in the country. In fact, this will be the first tank in the country which can be called a mountain tank.
Features Of Zorawar Tank
Due to it being light, it can be lifted and transported anywhere. Its cord will be 120 mm. Will have automatic loader. There will be a remote weapon station, in which a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun will be installed. Its trials will continue till 2024. Then he will be handed over to the army.

Zorawar will also have technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Drone Integration, Active Protection System, High Degree of Situational Awareness. Additionally, it will have missile firing capability. Devices and warning systems to shoot down enemy drones will also be installed. The tanks that China has deployed on its side weigh less than 33 tons. They can be easily airlifted.
