Independence Day 2022: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has warned of possible terror attacks by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and other radical groups ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
The 10-page report of the IB said that there is a threat from LeT, Jaish and other radical groups. The report has directed the Delhi Police to enforce strict entry rules at the Red Fort ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
In this report, the attack on former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and communal incidents by Islamist elements in Udaipur and Amaravati have been mentioned.
The IB has instructed the Delhi Police to be on alert. Delhi Police has also been asked to enforce strict entry rules at the venue on August 15.
Referring to the incidents in Udaipur and Amravati, intelligence agencies have directed the police to keep a close watch on militant groups and their movements in crowded places.
According to the report, Pakistan is instigating terrorist attacks by providing logistic support to ISI, Jaish and LeT terrorists. Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) are being instructed to target big leaders and important places.
The IB in its report has directed the Delhi Police and other states to keep an eye on radical groups ahead of Independence Day 2022. Afghan fighters have been included in the Lashkar-e-Khalsa created by ISI. This terrorist organization can carry out a major terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The report said that terrorist organizations Lashkar and JeM can use UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and paragliders for the attack, so the BSF (Border Security Force) has been asked to be on alert.
In the IB report, instructions have also been given to keep a close watch on those areas of Delhi where Rohingya, people of Afghanistan national Sudan are living. Along with this, the IB has directed the police to remain alert to deal with the threat of tiffin bombs, sticky bombs and IEDs.
