IMD Weather Update: A Western Disturbance is expected to impact the Western Himalayan Region starting from the 29th of January. Under its influence, the region will receive isolated scattered rainfall and snowfall on the 29th and 30th of January. Visibility below 50 m was reported in some parts of Central and East Uttar Pradesh and between 50 to 199 m in isolated pockets of Northeast Rajasthan, Assam, and Tripura, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
Dense Fog Warning
Dense fog conditions are likely to disrupt daily activities during the night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of Gangetic West Bengal until today, while East Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar till 26th January. Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura will experience dense fog from 25th to 27th January.
Cold Day Warning
Himachal Pradesh witnessed cold day conditions in a few parts on Saturday. IMD predicts cold days in a few pockets of Bihar on the 25th and 26th of January.
AQI, Weather Forecast For Delhi
Light rain on Thursday morning brought significant relief to the residents of Delhi from the poor pollution levels. The city woke up to ‘moderate’ air quality after remaining in the ‘poor’ category Friday morning. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 197 at 6 am today, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Though the air quality has improved, the temperatures are likely to remain on the cooler side.
AQI recorded in different parts of Delhi at 6 am: Okhla Phase 2 (194), Alipur (193), Rohini (246), ITO (159), Ashok Vihar (202), Shadipur (196), Mundka (231), Wazirpur (236), Jahangirpuri (240), Narela (206), DTU CPCB (169), R.K. Puram (186), Pusa DPCC (226), and Anand Vihar (222).
