A significant development has occurred in the high-profile murder case of a four-year-old boy, shedding light on a possible motive. Police investigating the matter discovered a note on a crumpled tissue paper, allegedly written by the victim’s mother, Suchana Seth. Officials suggest that the six-line note, found inside a suitcase containing the body of the four-year-old, hints at a motive for killing her son.

According to reports, Suchana Seth, a data scientist and founder-CEO of a Bengaluru-based startup, is suspected of murdering her son, Chinmaya, possibly due to a strained relationship with her husband, Venkat Raman.

The discovered note, hastily scribbled and purportedly written with an eyeliner, contained distressing revelations. It read, “Court and my husband pressuring me to give custody of my son. I cannot take it anymore…My ex-husband is violent…he used to teach bad manners to son.” The note continued, expressing, “I am extremely guilty and frustrated. I love my son but I did not want to see him meeting his father.” These revelations provide insight into the emotional and psychological turmoil the mother, Suchana Seth, may have been experiencing, possibly contributing to the tragic incident involving her son, Chinmaya.

Suchana Seth has purportedly admitted to writing the note, although she consistently denies being involved in her son’s death. During what investigators term a “voluntary disclosure” of certain aspects of the incident, Seth provided the police with some details after being taken to the service apartment in Goa, believed to be the location of the tragic event. This recreation of the crime scene was conducted to gather additional insights into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues as authorities attempt to unravel the complexities of the case.

According to reports from TOI, a police official stated that Suchana Seth, the startup CEO, guided investigators to the location where her son was found in the room, the spot where the suitcase containing the boy was kept, and how she placed the body. Suchana Seth was arrested on January 8 while traveling from North Goa to Bengaluru with her son’s body concealed in a bag. The revelation of the crime occurred when authorities contacted the cab driver in Karnataka while the cab was en route.

The postmortem report indicated that the child had been smothered, possibly with a towel or a pillow. Despite maintaining her version of events, the 39-year-old has reportedly not provided a satisfactory explanation for why she concealed her son’s body in the suitcase. The investigation continues to uncover the details surrounding this tragic incident.
