Family In Tamil Nadu Dies In Suicide Pact Inside Car, 200 km Away From Their Residence

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem in Pudukkottai Government Medical College Hospital, and further investigations are on.

Tamil Nadu: A family of five was tragically found dead inside a car parked along the Trichy-Karaikudi National Highway on Wednesday morning. Locals noticed the car had been parked in the same spot since the previous evening and informed the police.

Suspected Poisoning

Police suspect that the family may have died by consuming poison. A note was found in the car, but the exact reason for the suspected suicide is still unclear.

The victims

At present, the family members have been identified as Manikandan, his wife Nithya, his mother Saroja, and two children. The place of residence of the family is in Salem, Tamil Nadu which is about 200 kilometers to the place of the incident.

Financial Crisis

Sources say Manikandan, who was into metal business, had debt burdens. The police are investigating whether financial pressures are the reason behind this tragedy.
