Earthquake Strikes Sikar In Rajasthan: Tremors Felt

The NCS say reports that at 11:47 p.m. on Saturday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 struck Sikar, Rajasthan. The earthquake was at 27.41 N latitude and 75.06 E longitude, at a depth of 5 kilometers.

The earthquake was at 27.41 N latitude and 75.06 E longitude, at a depth of 5 kilometers. There haven’t been any recorded damages or injuries yet.

In a post, the NCS stated, “EQ of M: 3.9, On 08/06/2024 23:47:16 IST, Lat: 27.41 N, Long: 75.06 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Sikar, Rajasthan.”

The location of the earthquake was 27.41 N latitude and 75.06 E longitude, at a depth of 5 kilometers. There haven’t been any recorded damages or injuries yet.

The Earth Sciences ministry’s nodal agency for tracking seismic activity in the nation is the National Center for Seismology.

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh, last week at a depth of 10 kilometers. There were no recorded damages.

Previous to it, on May 26, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 was recorded in Chandel, Manipur. At a depth of 77 kilometers, the epicenter was located at latitude 23.9 N and longitude 94.10 E.

In May, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 with an epicenter located around 5 kilometers below the surface of the earth also occurred in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district. This occurred two weeks after on May 11th, another earthquake with a magnitude of 2.8 was recorded in the same area.
