The graveyard at Kali Bagh in Mohammadabad Yusufpur, Ghazipur, has prepared Mukhtar Ansari’s grave for his burial. He will be laid to rest near his parents, uncle, and aunt, whose graves are also located in the same graveyard. Mukhtar Ansari’s son Umar Ansari has raised questions about the doctors who conducted the post-mortem after it was completed. Umar Ansari wrote a letter demanding that the post-mortem of his father Mukhtar Ansari be conducted by the doctors at Delhi AIIMS. Additionally, the Allahabad High Court rejected Mukhtar Ansari’s elder son Abbas Ansari’s petition for parole, prompting him to plan an appeal to the Supreme Court. Now, the focus is on determining when Mukhtar Ansari will be buried.

Opposition demands enquiry
Many senior leaders, including BSP supremo Mayawati and SP President Akhilesh Yadav, have demanded a high-level inquiry into the sudden death of Don Mukhtar Ansari. Former IPS Amitabh Thakur and others have labeled Don’s death as a conspiracy and have called for an investigation. Swami Prasad Maurya also expressed suspicions about Mukhtar Ansari’s death, stating that it does not appear natural. In response, the Banda Magistrate has ordered a judicial inquiry into Mukhtar Ansari’s death. The Magistrate has appointed Banda CJM Garima Singh as the investigating officer and has instructed for the investigation report to be submitted within 30 days.
Mukhtar Ansari Passed Away
Last night, Don Mukhtar Ansari’s health suddenly deteriorated while he was imprisoned in Banda jail, Uttar Pradesh. Mukhtar, who was fasting, suddenly vomited and lost consciousness. Jail officials were shocked by the sudden turn of events and immediately transported him to Rani Durgavati Medical College, Banda. However, upon preliminary examination, the don was pronounced dead.
Mukhtar Ansari has been incarcerated since 2005 and faced 65 criminal cases across four states. He had been convicted in eight cases, receiving life imprisonment in two of them. At the time of his death, proceedings were ongoing in 21 cases against him.
