New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a meeting of party MLAs. This meeting will be held today at 11 am at Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. This meeting has been called at a time when the CBI’s action on Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia remains in the headlines.
In such a situation, it is being speculated that a big discussion is likely to take place in the meeting regarding the current political scenario and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on party leaders.
Besides this, the Kejriwal-led Delhi government has called a special session of the Assembly amid a political controversy over the claim that the BJP is trying to woo the MLAs of his party. Earlier on Wednesday also, CM Kejriwal had called a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee at his residence.
Several party leaders in the ruling government of the national capital have made remarks about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s alleged attempts to overthrow the Delhi government.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj on Wednesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of allegedly offering Rs 20 crore to AAP MLAs to “fall” the Kejriwal-led government in the national capital.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Bharadwaj said, “BJP offered to topple Kejriwal’s government by luring AAP MLAs with Rs 20 crore each. Slogans of ’50 khokha-50 khokha’ were raised in the Maharashtra assembly, so I I will tell BJP to stop cheating on the country, 50 khoka will not work.”
Before Bharadwaj, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had also made similar allegations against the BJP and said that- “I have received the message of BJP. Break AAP and join BJP, all CBI, ED cases will be closed. My reply to BJP – I am a Rajput, a descendant of Maharana Pratap. I will cut off my head but will not bow down in front of the corrupt-conspirators. All the cases against me are false. Do whatever you want to do.”
