On Friday the nation has received reports of more than 2,200 new Covid cases.
There have been 2,208 new corona cases recorded throughout the nation on Friday within the past 24 hours whereas 12 people have lost their life. On Thursday 1112 new cases of corona infection were reported in the nation while six persons died of Covid. The number of newly infected patients each day has increased by 1096 in comparison to Thursday.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on thursday morning, 2,200 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. While 3,619 people managed to beat the corona virus. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country stood at 19,398.
With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 ,46 ,4988. While the number of people recovering has increased to 4,41691.
Recovery rate
According to the information given by the Ministry of Health, the number of people recovering from corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.77 percent. At the same time, active cases comprise 0.77 percent of the total infection.

Vaccination coverage exceeds 219.60 Cr
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 219.60 Cr (2,19,60,45,500) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years was started on 16 March, 2022. So far, more than 4.12 Cr (4,12,41,936) adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, the COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started from 10th April, 2022 onwards.
