Covid update: 1021 new cases
For the last few days, a decline is being seen in the cases of Corona Update in the country. However, as compared to yesterday, a rise has been recorded in the daily cases of corona in the country. Today 1021 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, there is news of death of 4 people due to corona infection. Earlier on Tuesday, 656 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 12 people died. In this way, a rise of 365 has been registered in the new daily case of Corona in the last 24 hours.
Cases on Decline mode
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (17 May 2023), 1021 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, there is news of death of 4 people due to Corona Update. These include two people whose names have been added to the list of patients who succumbed to the global pandemic by Kerala, while reconciling the death toll from the infection. At the same time, 2,661 people in the country were successful in defeating the corona virus infection, that is, they became healthy. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down from 13,037 to 11,393. In this way, a decrease of 1644 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 49 lakh 83 thousand 152. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore 44 lakh 39 thousand 965. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 31 thousand 794 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the daily positive rate is currently 0.78 percent and the weekly positive rate is 0.97 percent. The number of people recovering from Corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.79 percent. While the death rate remains at 1.18 percent. At the same time, active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.66 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
