Covid-19 Update: Once again fear gripped the people in India after a surge in Covid cases on Friday. There has been continuous rise in positive cases for the last several weeks. India reported total 3,090 cases and 5 deaths on Friday. The Delhi government has called meeting over the grim situation of rising Covid cases in national capital.
Such rise in cases have not been witnessed after October 2022. Earlier, on October 2 last year, 3,375 new cases of Covid were reported in the country in 24 hours.
3,095 new cases in 24 hours
For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the cases of Corona Update. As compared to Thursday, a big jump has been recorded in the daily cases of corona in the country today. Today 3095 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, there is news of death of 5 people due to covid infection. In the last 24 hours, two people in Kerala, one each in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh have died due to corona infection. Earlier on Wednesday, 3016 new cases of corona had come in the country on Wednesday, while 14 deaths were reported. That is, today 1699 more new cases of corona have been reported in the country as compared to yesterday.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (31 March 2023), 3095 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, there is news of death of 5 people due to Corona Update. At the same time, 1390 people were successful in defeating the corona virus infection, that is, they became healthy. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has crossed 15,000. Today it has increased to 15,208 in the country. In this way, a rise of 1699 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

Covid Status
With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 47 lakh 15 thousand 786. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore 41 lakh 69 thousand 711. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 867 people have died due to Corona virus infection in the country.
According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the daily positive rate is currently 2.61 percent and the weekly positive rate is 1.91 percent. The number of people recovering from Corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.78 percent. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. At the same time, active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.65 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
