Covid-19 Update: India on Wednesday recorded fresh 3,720 Covid-19 cases, taking down the number of active infections to 40,246 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. Total 20 deaths are recorded in last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am on Wednesday said.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.92% while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 4%. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.49 crore (4,49,56,716).
The active cases now comprise 0.11 per cent of the total infections while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.71, according to the ministry website. Fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%.
3,720 new cases in 24 hours
India on Wednesday reported a surge of 395 new Covid cases as compared to Tuesday data. Today 3,720 new cases have been reported in the country. Total 7,698 people are recovered. The number of active in the country has come down from 44,175 to 40,177. A decrease of 3,998 has been reported in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

The number of corona infected in the country is 4,49,56,716.The total number of cases has increased to 4 crore 49 lakh 56 thousand 716. While the number of people recovered has increased to 4 crore 43 lakh 84 thousand 955. A total of 5 lakh 31 thousand 584 people have died due to infection .
Health Ministry Data
According to information provided by the Union Health Ministry, active cases comprise 0.09 per cent of the total infections. The number of people recovering from Corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.73 percent. While the death rate remains at 1.18 percent. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.66 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
