Congress leader Pawan Khera on Thursday was stopped from a boarding Indigo flight at the Delhi airport on Thursday. Kheda was flying to Raipur to participate in the Congress session starting on Friday.
Delhi Police claims that this action has been taken on the appeal of Assam Police under the rules. Assam Police spokesperson Sushant Bhuyan told Bhaskar that a case for communal disturbance and anti-national activity has been registered against Pawan Kheda on Wednesday night. Assam police is taking action on the order of local court. He informed that a case has been registered against Congress leader Pawan Kheda at Haflong police station in Dima Hasao district of Assam.

It is also noted that Pawan Kheda recently addressed PM Modi as Narendra ‘Gautam Das’ Modi. However, Khera later tweeted that he was genuinely confused over PM’s middle name.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said that today we were going to Raipur for the Congress session, then our colleague Pawan Kheda was told that he had left his luggage, but he has no luggage. Then the police came and said that the Assam Police has registered an FIR. Randeep said that we asked him to show the arrest warrant but he did not show any order. This is completely illegal. Assam and Delhi police have forcibly stopped our flight.
