The main topic of discussion in political circles is whether Kamal Nath, the “third son” of Indira Gandhi, will leave the Congress and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Veteran Congressman Kamal Nath, a former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, is not pleased with his marginalization within the venerable party. Gandhi’s family is no longer backing him as they once did.

At a time when leaders in the Congress like Ashok Chavan and Milind Deora are leaving, there are rumors that Kamal Nath is joining the BJP. Following their BJP membership, both have been granted seats in the Rajya Sabha. As a result, Kamal Nath, a seasoned congressman with 56 years of experience, is currently the center of attention.
Kamal Nath worked with three generations of the Gandhi family
Not just in Madhya Pradesh but around the nation, Kamal Nath has been regarded as the Congress’ troubleshooter. Having worked with three generations of the Gandhi family—Indira, Rajiv, and Rahul Gandhi—he is a very close-knit and devoted leader of the Gandhi family. The BJP is aware that it will be extremely difficult to unseat him in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, where he has maintained a 44-year political advantage.
His Supporters Are With Him In Any Condition
However, given that Kamal Nath’s supporters have made it clear they will support him no matter what, the party will be on the edge of a serious collapse if he decides to leave the Congress. Thus, if Nath chooses to join the BJP, a sizable contingent of Congress officials and employees would do the same, causing political turmoil inside the venerable organization. Many MLAs who pledge allegiance to Kamal Nath can also be on the list. Regarding the seasoned Congressman, he is not making any clear statements about his position or publicly refuting rumors that he may join the BJP.
