New Delhi: Congress leader Jai Prakash Aggrawal on Thursday was appointed as All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Madhya Pradesh “with immediate effect”.

As per the news agency UNI, Congress leader K.C. Venugopal, in an official press note, wrote that the party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi has accepted a request of Mukul Wasnik to relieve him from his duty as in-charge.

Jai Prakash Aggrawal is a former Member of Parliament from North East Delhi. He had also served as president Delhi of Pradesh Congress Committee in the past.
