Officials announced that due to ongoing work on a 490-metre section of the Janakpuri West to R K Ashram corridor of Phase-IV of Yellow Line of Delhi Metro, there will be adjustments in the timings of the last and first trains on Sunday and Monday respectively. The information was shared on Saturday.
They mentioned that the alignment in this section, passing over Haiderpur Badli Mor Metro station, runs parallel to the operational Yellow Line. This segment is crucial as the corridor reaches a height of approximately 28.36 meters, marking the highest rail level ever in the Delhi Metro network.
Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s principal executive director of corporate communications, announced on Sunday that the final train departure times have been adjusted. The last train from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will now be at 10:45 pm instead of 11 pm, and from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli, it will depart at 9:30 pm instead of 11 pm.
Starting Monday, the train service from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will commence at 7 am instead of 6 am. Additionally, there will be no train services running between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri after 11 pm on Sunday until 7 am on Monday.
However, regular train services will remain operational on the remaining major section of the Yellow Line, spanning from Jahangirpuri to Millennium City Centre Gurugram, during this time, according to Dayal.

He mentioned that announcements will be made at stations and inside trains on the Yellow Line to minimize passenger inconvenience on late nights and early mornings of Sundays and Mondays. The announcements will inform passengers about train destinations and platform changes.
Dayal emphasized that whenever challenging engineering works, which involve crossing over or under already-operational corridors, are scheduled, the DMRC prioritizes passenger convenience.
The work sequence is meticulously scheduled to occur exclusively at night, within a narrow window of just a few hours after passenger services have concluded. It is completed before passenger services are scheduled to resume the following day.

Construction on this Phase IV section is restricted to night-time shutdowns between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri on the Yellow Line.
He further mentioned that similar adjustments to the schedule might also be necessary during the upcoming weekend to complete the remaining tasks. This approach allows DMRC to prioritize passenger convenience by avoiding such activities on weekdays.
