Central Govt Orders Nationwide Half Day On Ram Mandir Consecration Day

On the occasion of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, a half-day holiday will be observed in all central government offices

On the day of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which is January 22, a half-day holiday will be observed throughout the country. The central government has issued an order declaring a half-day holiday on January 22.

In the issued statement, the central government mentioned that due to the deep sentiments of the employees and in response to their requests, the decision to grant a half-day holiday has been made.

On the occasion of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, a half-day holiday will be observed in all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial establishments across India until 2:30 PM on January 22. It is worth mentioning that this decision has been taken to allow people to watch the live broadcast of the consecration ceremony.

Prime Minister Modi has sought feedback from all ministers regarding the preparations for the temple inauguration. Ministers have been instructed to celebrate the event like Diwali. They have been urged to light lamps in their homes on January 22 and provide meals to the needy. It has also been mentioned that after January 22, they should encourage people from their parliamentary constituencies to travel to Ayodhya by trains.

It is informed that the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple is scheduled to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. Before this, Nripendra Mishra, the Chairman of the Ayodhya Ram Temple Construction Committee, had stated that the construction work of the Ram Temple has been completed. The temple will have a sanctum sanctorum for Ram Lalla, along with five mandaps. The temple is located on the ground floor and has been fully constructed.

However, he mentioned that there is still some work pending on the first floor of the temple, where the Ram Darbar will be situated. The second floor of the temple is designated for rituals and ceremonies, where various types of yajnas and rituals will take place.
