Massive Fire Erupts In Noida

A massive fire erupted in Noida sector 32 near Noida Hatt on Monday. Videos and images circulated on social media depicted black smoke billowing from the area. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. As the situation progressed, the intensity of the fire grew.

According to the police, it is anticipated that the massive fire erupted due to the burning of firecrackers, while the real reason behind the fire will be confirmed after the investigation only.

As per Abhishek Singh, News24, seven fire tender is currently present at the spot to control the situation.

Netizens on the micro blogging site X (formerly Twitter) claimed that a pile garbage present at the location was burnt in order to clean up the mess.

A user expressed concerns about the apparent failure of garbage pickup agencies to collect waste, resulting in piles of garbage being set on fire as a routine practice to clear the mess. The user questioned the Air Quality Index (AQI) implications of such incidents and urged authorities, including @CeoNoida, to take action to prevent such occurrences.

Earlier this month, on March 2nd, 2024, another fire incident was reported in Noida. The incident took place in an apartment located on the second floor of Block C, 16th Avenue, Gaur City 2, Greater Noida West, between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM.
