Massive Fire Erupts In Delhi’s Jhandewalan Anarkali Building; Vehicles Engulfed In Flames

Fire tenders and police personnel are at the spot. A fire brigade official notified the department about the Anarkali Complex Block E 3 structure fire at 2:35 pm.

A fire broke out in the Anarkali Building and DDA Shopping Complex within Jhandewalan Delhi on Tuesday. Fire tenders and police personnel are at the spot. “Delhi Fire Service received a call at 2:27 pm of a fire in Jhandewalan Extension. Fire tenders were rushed as soon as information was received. Seeing the gravity of the fire, it was categorised as medium. Twenty-five fire tenders are present at the spot. The fire is under control… 7-8 cars and a couple of two-wheelers came in contact with the fire… No casualties have been reported… We believe the cause of the fire is because of a blast in the AC compressor…” said Delhi Fire Service Deputy Fire Chief S.K. Dua.

According to Delhi Police, “Fire broke out in Anarkali building and DDA Shopping Complex Jhandewalan. Fire tenders and police personnel are at the spot. Some vehicles parked nearby have also caught fire. Firefighting operation is underway. No information about any persons trapped.”
