Noida Atta Market Fire: A massive fire broke out in a multi-storey building at Atta Market in Noida Sector 18 on Tuesday, causing panic in the area. Noida Police stated that the fire broke out on the ground floor of Krishna Apra Plaza. Two people were injured after jumping from the fourth floor to escape the flames. They have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. According to reports, the fire started in a shop on the ground floor, causing thick smoke to fill the lower areas. As a result, people working in the offices above couldn’t come down.
Fire Due To Short Circuit
Joint CP Shiv Hari Meena told ANI, “We got information about a fire incident in the Krishna Plaza building. Many people have been rescued from the building. Those who complained of suffocation have been shifted to a local hospital. The reason for the fire is said to be a short circuit. We are investigating this further. All floors are being checked again.”

According to eyewitnesses, several people have been trapped and the fire had been raging for the past 10-15 minutes. Videos that have surfaced online show black smoke billowing. Several people have climbed the terrace to escape the fire. Recue efforts are underway with five fire tenders on spot.
Noida Police is present at the scene, managing the situation. A huge crowd has gathered at the spot.
