New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, a firing incident inside the Jaipur Express train (12956) has left four people dead, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI). The incident has sent shockwaves through the railway community and passengers alike.
Following the deadly incident, the authorities swiftly apprehended the accused responsible for the fatal firing. The prompt action led to the arrest, providing some relief to the affected families and commuters.

Meanwhile an official statement released by the Western railways reads, “An RPF constable opened fire inside a moving Jaipur Express Train after it crossed Palghar Station. He shot one RPF ASI and three other passengers and jumped out of the train near Dahisar Station. The accused constable has been detained along with his weapon. More details awaited”

Railway Protection Force and DCP North GRP reach the scene
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) from the Government Railway Police (GRP) have been actively involved in handling the situation. Their immediate response and coordination have been crucial in managing the aftermath of the tragic event.
As per the latest information, the train has reached Mumbai Central Station. All the dead bodies have been unloaded at the Borivali railway station. The bodies have been sent for postmortem at the Borivali’s Shatabdi Hospital.

Meanwhile, GRP DCP Sandeep Bhajibhakre informed that the mental condition of the accused RPF soldier is not stable.
After the firing the accused tried to jump off from the train by pulling the chain near Dahisar. However, he was later apprehended and caught. The accused has been kept in the custody of the Mira Road GRP officials.
As per information, It is also being said that the accused who has been identified as Chetan, was angry with the head of his escort Tika Ram. His shot was aimed at Tika Ram.
As investigations into the incident continue, authorities are diligently working to bring justice to the victims and their families. The loss of an ASI and three others in such a horrific manner has highlighted the need for improved safety measures and security within the railway system.
