Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday claimed that the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will come into power again with more than 300 Lok Sabha seats across the country in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing a rally in Assam’s Dibrugarh while laying the foundation stone for a new BJP office, Amit Shah asserted that the party will win 12 out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the northeastern state.
“Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term with the party winning over 300 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” Amit Shah said.

Launching a sharp attack on the Congress, the Home Minister said, “Northeast was once considered a castle of the Congress but despite Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress failed to deliver in the recent assembly elections in three northeastern states.”
State Assembly elections were recently concluded in Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland. The Saffron party formed the government in Tripura and came into power in alliance with the other two states.
