Bharat Jodo Yatra: Congress leader Jairam Ramesh Saturday announced that Assam will begin its Bharat Jodo Yatra on November 1 from Dhubri town that will go all the way to Sadiya and meet people during the 'padyatra'.
"Bharat Jodo Yatra - Assam will begin on 1st November, from Dhubri to Sadiya. Similarly, in the next 3-4 months, Bharat Jodo Yatra - West Bengal will also be held," said Jairam Ramesh, Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications.
Ramesh also declared a similar rally in West Bengal. He said, "Next year, we may plan a Yatra from Porbandar in the west to Parshuram Kund in the east, depending on the outcome of this present one."
Bharat Jodo Yatra on Saturday entered its tenth day. Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi kickstarted the 'padyatra' on September 7 from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumar.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra will end in Kashmir.
