Arvind Kejriwal’s Arrest Likely Post ED Raid Today, Claim AAP ministers
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has asserted that it has received information suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the party's leader, may face arrest on Thursday morning. This revelation comes in the wake of anticipated raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Kejriwal's residence. Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Jasmine Shah, prominent AAP leaders, conveyed these concerns following Kejriwal's failure to comply with the third summons from the ED related to the alleged 'scam' involving the Delhi liquor policy.
"News coming in that ED is going to raid @ArvindKejriwal’s residence tomorrow morning. Arrest likely," Atishi tweeted on Wednesday night.
In a telephonic conversation with Aaj Tak TV/India Today TV, Atishi raised doubts about the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) motives behind summoning Kejriwal, particularly as the Lok Sabha polls were nearing. Atishi emphasized Kejriwal's willingness to cooperate and respond to any queries posed by the ED. She pointed out that three summonses had been issued to Kejriwal in the past two weeks, expressing concern over the lack of written questions from the ED.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Atishi's colleagues Bharadwaj and Shah. Bharadwaj, in a tweet on Wednesday night, mentioned, "We have heard that the ED is planning to visit Chief Minister Kejriwal's residence tomorrow morning and arrest him."

Shah also wrote on X, "Breaking: Sources confirm that ED is going to raid the residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal tomorrow morning. He is likely to be arrested."
On Wednesday, Kejriwal was called in by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for interrogation regarding a money laundering case associated with an excise policy. Instead of appearing in person, he chose to send a response to the investigative agency, expressing his willingness to collaborate with the inquiry. Despite his cooperation, Kejriwal labeled the summons as "unlawful." The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the ED of aiming to detain the Delhi Chief Minister with the intention of impeding his election campaign. Furthermore, the AAP alleged that the government was selectively targeting opposition leaders for arrest while neglecting to take action against corrupt officials.
This marked the third instance of Kejriwal receiving a summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), as he had previously declined to appear before the investigative agency on two occasions: November 2 and December 21 of the previous year.
