Bibhav Kumar, an aide and former personal secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested by Delhi Police on Saturday for his alleged involvement in the assault of AAP MP Swati Maliwal. Kumar was escorted out of the Chief Minister’s residence through the rear exit.
Two days after Delhi Police registered a case against Kumar based on a complaint filed by Maliwal, he was detained. Maliwal alleged in her complaint that Bibhav Kumar slapped her 7–8 times and kicked her repeatedly in her chest and stomach when she visited the Chief Minister’s residence on May 13.
