Today, Sunita, the wife of imprisoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, entered the political fray with a fiery speech, directly accusing the BJP-led central government of targeting the Opposition with central agencies in the lead-up to the national election.

At a massive rally in Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, Sunita Kejriwal, along with leaders of the Opposition INDIA bloc including Rahul Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray, Mehbooba Mufti, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Akhilesh Yadav, among others, read out a message sent by her imprisoned husband.

Mr. Kejriwal made the following six main poll promises:
1. He promised to provide 24-hour electricity throughout the entire country.
2. He pledged to offer free electricity to the poor across the nation.
3. He committed to constructing excellent government schools in every village and neighborhood.
4. He vowed to establish Mohalla clinics in every village and neighborhood.
5. He assured farmers of fair prices for crops as recommended in the Swaminathan Commission Report.
6. He advocated for granting full statehood to Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal Sends A Special Message
Today, in her first major political speech ever in front of hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters, Sunita Kejriwal declared, “The people of India stand with CM Kejriwal. They cannot keep him in jail forever.”
Quoting her husband’s message from jail, Sunita Kejriwal stated, “I am not soliciting votes from you. I am not urging you to assist in defeating someone in elections. I am simply urging all 140 crore Indians to contribute to moving this country forward.”
