Dr. Anil Mishra and his wife Usha Mishra are the primary hosts of the Ram Temple pre-consecration rites at Ayodhya, which take place before January 22. The pre-consecration rites began on Tuesday, one week before the major event. In Sanskrit, a yajman is a person or patron for whom a ritual or yajna is done. Laxmikant Dixit of Varanasi serves as the rites’ main priest. Dixit stated that PM Modi will be the primary yajman of the consecration day festivities.
Who Is Anil Mishra?
Anil Mishra is a member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, established by the government.
Dr. Mishra, a resident of Ayodhya,had conducted his homeopathic clinic in the city for the past four decades. He was born in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar district.
He retired a few years ago from his positions as registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Homeopathic Board and district Homeopathic officer of Gonda.
As a committed RSS member, he opposed Emergency.
He graduated from the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery program in 1981.
Anil Mishra has had a lengthy affiliation with the RSS. He was involved in the Ram Temple movement.
Ram Mandir Pre-Consecration Ceremony
On Tuesday, as the pre-rituals began, Dr. Mishra, the principal host, took a swim in the Saryu river and then had panchgavya (cow milk, curd, ghee, gobar, gau mutra) before beginning the fast. Then he did the Prashchita, Sankalpa, and Karmakuti puja. He and his wife did havan.
On Wednesday, Dr. Mishra and his wife performed the Kalash puja, after which the filled the pots with water from the Saryu River and transported them to the location where the rites were being done. On the second day, the idol of Lord Ram Lalla walked about the temple grounds with his eyes closed. Jalayatra, teertha puja, Brahmin-batuk-kumari-Suvasini puja, Vardhini puja, Kalshayatra, and an idol visit were scheduled for the second day.
The rites are being conducted by 121 priests, with Vedic scholar Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid monitoring the proceedings.
