Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has accused the YSR Congress led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of using animal fat in Tirupati laddus. He condemned the act stating that the previous government used animal fat instead of ‘ghee’ while making prasadam at Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati.
However, the YSR Congress strongly refuted his statements and labeled them as an attempt to tarnish the party’s reputation. Minister for Human Resources Development of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh shared a video on X, in which CM Naidu alleged, “I am shocked to find out that the YS Jagan government used animal fat in the Tirupati Prasadam instead of ghee.” He further slammed the party for disrespecting the religious sentiments of crores of Hindu devotees.

TDP Leader Pledges To Restore Integrity
While addressing the NDA legislative party meeting, the TDP leader said that the sanctity of Tirumala was tarnished during the last 5 years of rule of the YSR Congress government. Additionally, he asserted that the Telugu Dasam party would uphold the temple’s sanctity.
Annadanam (free meals) and laddus will be made from pure ghee, he added.
YSR Congress Leader Accuses Naidu Of Malicious Political Motives
Senior YSR Congress leader YV Subba Reddy also hit back at Naidu accusing him of damaging the faith of millions of Hindu people. He remarked, “His comments are extremely malicious and he would do anything for political gain.” He also challenged the TDP leader to take an oath before the god on the Tirumala prasad.
