Mumbai: After the resignation of Sharad Pawar from the post of National President of NCP, now National General Secretary of party Jitendra Awhad has also resigned from his post.

Awhad decision came after Pawar did not take back his resignation. Jitendra Awhad said, “ he would not continue to his position without Sharad Pawar.

“I have resigned from the post of National General Secretary and sent it to Sharad Pawar. All the office bearers of Thane NCP have also left their posts. People are resigning after Sharad Pawar’s decision,” Jitendra Awhad said.

Jitendra Awhad is known as a very close and trusted aide of Sharad Pawar. He also shares good relations with Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule. It is believed that after Sharad Pawar, the resignations of other leaders are also going to put pressure on the Ajit Pawar camp.

Meanwhile, leaders like Supriya Sule, Ajit Pawar, and Praful Patel are meeting at the Yashwant Rao Auditorium in Mumbai. They all are in touch with Sharad Pawar

Before reaching the meeting, Ajit Pawar, while talking to media persons, said that he is not going to become president. “Even if I am asked to become the president, I will refuse it,” said Ajit Pawar.

Yesterday, Ajit said that Sharad Pawar agreed to rethink his decision to resign and he sought some time for it.
