It should be noted that a meeting of the Opposition bloc — Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) is scheduled to take place tomorrow where all the parties will brainstorm their further strategies.

In the latest, Aam Admi Party (AAP) has voiced out that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should be the PM candidate. AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar on Wednesday said, “If you ask me, I would want Arvind Kejriwal to be the Prime Ministerial candidate (of the Opposition alliance).”

Kakkar opined that CM Kejriwal was best suited for the post considering that he has been highlighting issues of the public. The AAP spokesperson further suggested that he has emerged as a credible challenger to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Be it the PM’s academic records or qualifications or any other issue, Arvind Kejriwal has been putting across his views boldly on myriad subjects,” Kakkar.

To Face Opposition Tomorrow

However, although his remarks risked shaking the opposition ahead of the meeting in Mumbai, which begins on Wednesday and continues on Thursday, the AAP leader said India is trying to steer the country in a new direction.

She claimed that even with rising commodity and food prices, the nation’s capital still has “the lowest” inflation. A total of 26-27 parties are expected to take part in the third meeting of the new opposition coalition in Mumbai.

The Indian partners are scheduled to hold a joint meeting on September 1 in Mumbai. The meeting will see discussions on the bloc’s strategy ahead of the upcoming national elections and a key general election next year.

The opposition coalition’s logo is also expected to be unveiled at the two-day meeting. A total of 26 parties, including Congress, rallied at the Center to oppose the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The inaugural meeting of the coalition was convened by Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on June 23. The second meeting of the group took place in Bengaluru, Karnataka, chaired by the National Assembly, on July 17-18. .
