Speaking at a press briefing earlier this week, Gopal Rai, who also serves as the Delhi state convener of AAP, announced that starting from 10 am on Sunday, AAP MLAs, MPs, office bearers, as well as party members and supporters, will collectively observe a fast. Rai emphasized that the party’s decision to hold a nationwide collective fast is aimed at rallying maximum public support for Kejriwal’s cause.
Rai urged those who stand in opposition to Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest, who are committed to safeguarding the nation’s democracy, and who strive to prevent injustice and dictatorship, to participate in collective fasts at their homes, villages, neighborhoods, block headquarters, tehsils, districts, and state capitals.

Rai also encouraged individuals to engage in collective prayers or listen to the devotional song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” on YouTube as a means of showing solidarity and support.
He emphasized the collective singing of the song as a means of expressing solidarity and offering prayers for Kejriwal’s strength to persist in his struggle against oppression, even during his time in detention. The goal is to unite efforts to uncover the truth.
Rai, who also holds a ministerial position in the Delhi cabinet, urged individuals to share their pictures on the website kejriwalkoaashirvaad.com. “This struggle is not just about Kejriwal personally. His battle is to safeguard the nation and its democratic values from tyranny, oppression, and abuses of power,” he emphasized.
Last month, Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case linked to excise policy. He has been remanded to judicial custody until April 15.
