Uttar Pradesh Government: With an aim to give monetary support to the children who has lost parents due to Covid-19, the Uttar Pradesh Government provided financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per month to adults in between 18 years to 23 years for pursuing education after completing Class 12.
The UP Cabinet is already giving monetary help to children below the age of 18 years who have lost their parents or guardians due to COVID-19 or other reasons under the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana.

The adolescent between 18 to 23 years who have lost their parents or either of the parents due to Covid or other reasons and after completing their education up to Class 12, and pursuing education to obtain a bachelor’s degree or diploma from a government college, university or technical institution, according to sources.
It is also noted that those children whose mother is divorced or abandoned or whose parents or head of the family is in jail or children who have been exposed to child labour, child begging/prostitution will also be eligible for getting assistance, sources said.
Under this scheme, a maximum of two children of the family falling in the category of eligibility will be provided assistance of Rs 2,500 per month per child. This scheme is 100 per cent funded by the state government.
