Wednesday Season 2 Trailer Out! Is Enid Really Dead? Jenna Ortega Returns To Face New Terrors

Netflix has dropped the trailer for Wednesday Season 2, teasing a major character death, terrifying visions, and a new chapter in Nevermore’s dark history. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams.

One of Netflix’s most iconic series Wednesday returns this year with Season 2, and unlike Season 1, the new season will be split into two parts where part 1 drops on August 6 and part 2 concludes on September 3. Jenna Ortega returns in the new season of Netflix’s hit gothic teen drama, hinting at dark secrets, fresh mysteries, and the possible death of a fan favorite character.

The trailer kicks off with the Addams family dropping Wednesday back at Nevermore. Asked how she feels about resuming school, she coldly quips, “like returning to the scene of a crime.” She also reveals that she “already knows where the bodies are buried.”

What follows is a bombshell: Wednesday sees a horrifying vision of Enid’s death. “Enid dies and it’s all my fault.” In the next scene, Wednesday is standing in the graveyard, and the tombstone beside her reads, “In memory of Enid Sinclair.” A bloody Enid appears and strangles Wednesday while shouting, “I died because of you!” The scene then cuts to horror flashes and a voiceover that says, “Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid—or die trying.”

The trailer also hints at new locations, a dazzling party, and the return of some familiar faces. Get ready to see more of the Addams family as Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) joins Wednesday at Nevermore. With their two children now enrolled, parents Morticia and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) now have more reasons to be on campus, much to Wednesday’s dismay.  “One would think that after Season 1, this mother-daughter relationship — this navigating the shoals of mother-daughter relationships — would’ve gotten better,” Zeta-Jones tells Tudum. “But one finds that it’s a little bit more strained. So that’s always wonderful to play.”

Directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson, and shot in Ireland. A Season 2 cast is star studded, bringing in many new faces. Along with Lady Gaga, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor will join as regulars. Guest stars include Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo. They join the returning cast, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fred Armisen, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo.
