The Indian music industry suffered an irreparable loss as veteran music director Vipin Reshammiya, father of singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya died at 87.
He breathed his last on September 18 at 8:30 PM after a long battle with age-related ailments at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Vipin’s last rites will be held on September 19 in Juhu.
Vanita Thapar Remembers Vipin Reshammiya
Vanita Thapar, a family friend confirmed the news to ETimes, reminiscing about her bond with the veteran music director. “He had breathing issues and passed away today. I called him Papa since his days on TV serials. He became a renowned music director later and Himesh followed his footsteps,” she said.
