The first episode of ‘The Penguin’ will release on September 20, 2024, on JioCinema at 6:30 AM. New episodes will release on JioCinema every Friday till November 10, 2024.
The Penguin: Cast
‘The Penguin’ stars Collin Farrell in the titular role. His character Oswald Cobb is a disfigured gangster, who wants to become a criminal kingpin of Gotham. Cristin Milioti will be seen as Sofia Falcone, who is deceased crime boss Carmine Falcone’s daughter and a serial killer. Rhenzy Feliz will essay the role of Victor Aguilar, who becomes Oswald’s driver.
The series also stars Mark Strong, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown, James Madio, Scott Cohen, Michael Zegen, Theo Rossi and Carmen Ejogo in pivotal roles.
While speaking to MovieZine, Farrell talked about the plot of his upcoming show. He said, “It was a long and really wonderful experience. It’s dark, that’s what I can tell you about it. It’s really dark. It’s really heavy, I think, it certainly was doing it. Which is not to say I didn’t have fun, I had an amazing time doing it, but it’s incredibly violent.”
He added, “It’s one man’s rise to what he’s always dreamed of inhabiting, which is a certain power or social status.”

The plot of ‘The Penguin’ begins one week after the events of ‘The Batman’ and showcases Oswald’s journey to become a crime lord of the city.
