New Delhi: Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani, came out on November 11. The only major Bollywood film that the Sooraj Barjatya-directed movie clashed with was Samantha’s Yashoda in the South. According to early estimations, Uunchai saw a fair opening on Day 1.

On November 11, the movie debuted in theatres and received favourable reviews. According to Uunchai’s initial thoughts, the story is endearing, and Sooraj Barjatya has displayed his talent as a sophisticated storyteller. The lead actors’ performances have also received appreciation, particularly Big B and Kher’s.
According to Box Office India, “Unchaai has taken a decent start of 20-25% on a very restricted release. The film had very little going for it in terms of getting an audience in on the opening day but because of the release strategy, the film has managed a decent response. The film has been released on less than 500 screens and more importantly there are hardly 1400 shows for the film as each screen has minimal shows.”\
“The numbers will not be high due to the restricted release but it the film could get to 1.50 crore nett it would be a decent result as these are the sort of numbers many films have been getting but with four times the shows. This would give the film a platform to do well if the film is good enough.” BOI added.
Sooraj Barjatya, a director of family dramas, is the man behind the camera for Uunchai. After directing Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, he makes a comeback with this movie. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, hit theatres on November 11, 2022.
