Thunivu box office collection Day 8: Despite a modest decline in sales on Wednesday (January 18), Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu nevertheless managed to post respectable box office results. It’s safe to conclude that Thunivu excelled during the workday.

Before Pongal on January 11, the film was released in theatres. Due to the Pongal holidays (4 days), the movie enjoyed a six-day opening weekend and surpassed Rs 150 crore globally.

The movie is doing quite well in the UK, noted trade analyst Ramesh Bala on Twitter. The first Ajith movie to earn $300k in the UK was Thunivu. As well as doing well in France, Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, the film is also popular there.

About Thunivu
The movie was written, directed, and produced by Boney Kapoor. Along with Samuthirakani, Pavani Reddy, Manju Warrier, and Ajith Kumar, it also has John Kokken, Mamathi Chari, Veera, and Bagavathi Perumal in supporting roles. The movie, which will be Ajith’s 61st in a main role, was announced in February 2022 with the working title AK61.
The storyline of the film centres around Radha, a notorious gangster. He and his men prepare to rob one of Chennai’s largest banks, but they soon learn that the bank has already been taken over by another gang led by a strange figure known only as the “Dark Devil.”
