Shaakuntalam box office collection Day 2: The play Abhijnanashakuntalam by Kalidasa served as the basis for Samantha’s movie Shaakuntalam. When it made its theatrical debut on April 14, the reactions of the general population and reviewers were split.
Shaakuntalam had a slow opening weekend at the box office, earning a meagre Rs 5 crore on Day 1. The film’s performance hasn’t been great; on Day 2, April 15, it took a further decline. The film was predicted to do better over the weekend, but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
Shaakuntalam’s Box Office Collection
Shaakuntalam was screened in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada on a significant number of screens. Despite not drawing substantial audiences, the film grossed Rs 5 crore across all of its languages on its first day of release.
On Day 2, it performed poorly and started to decrease. According to early projections, Shaakuntalam only brought in Rs 1.5 crore on Day 2. The film had a 20.59% Telugu occupancy on Saturday, April 15.

About the Film
The mythical play Shaakuntalam was written and directed by Gunasekhar. Shakuntala, a play by Kalidasa, is the source for the movie. Dev Mohan will play King Dushyanta, and Samantha will play Shakuntala.
Supporting actors include Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla. On February 17, The film will debut in theatres worldwide in a variety of languages.
