New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt has been busy in promoting their upcoming film Brahmastra. They are going all-out to promote the film. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is all set to release on threatres on September 9.
Meanwhile, during one of the promotional event, Ranbir had said, “Well, I can see somebody has phailoed (spread out),” indicating to Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy weight gain. While, the remark was not taken positively by most of the netizens, Ranbir made his apologies for the same.

At the Chennai press meet of Brahmastra, Ranbir apologised for his comment. He said, “Firstly, I love my wife with everything I have in my life. It’s a joke that didn’t turn out to be funny. It wasn’t my intention. I spoke to Alia about it later and she laughed it off. My sense of humour falls flat on my face sometimes. I apologise to those who got offended by it.”
When Ranbir called Alia phailoed
During a live session on film promotion, team Brahmastra opened up about why they are not heavily promoting the film. Alia Bhatt replied, “We will promote the film, and we will be everywhere but if the question you are asking is why we are not phailod (talking about widespread promotion) everywhere, right now our focus is…”
Ranbir Kapoor quickly pointed at his wife’s baby bump and said, “well I can say somebody has phailod (reference to her gaining weight), adding he meant the comment as a joke. “In a cute way,” he implied. Alia was taken aback by the joke but let it flew in the air.

Talking about Brahmastra, apart from Ranbir and Alia, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
