New Delhi: Since the success of their 2021 action entertainer Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have been the top newsmakers. Post the announcement of the sequel to this blockbuster hit, moviegoers have been waiting with bated breath for the film to begin production. The movie’s mahurat pooja will finally take place tomorrow. Along with AA reprising his role as Pushpa Raj and Rashmika Mandanna will be back as Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil will reprise his role as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.

Earlier, the makers of Pushpa 2 had revealed that the shooting of the film has been stalled due to a month-long strike carried out by Telugu producers.
Pushpa producer Y Ravi Shankar had confirmed that they will wait for the strike to be called off and the matter to be resolved. He said, “We have a strike going on here in the Telugu industry. Once the strike is over, we will start from August-end, or whenever the strike is over,” Y Ravi Shankar told Pinkvilla. He further added, “Now, we can’t shoot because the chamber called for a strike for the producer’s issue. There is something internal going on, so once the shoots resume, then we will be able to start the film. We are ready.”

Allu Arjun had reportedly begun shooting for Pushpa 2. A report in India Today had stated that Allu Arjun is reportedly experimenting with not one, but two different looks for Pushpa 2. “So far, Allu Arjun has tried out two different looks for his character in Pushpa 2. The first image shows the actor with tattoos, while the second shows him with ear piercings. The actor has been releasing photos to see how people react to his various looks “According to a source close to the superstar.
Puhspa 2 is expected to release in theaters in 2023.
