Pakistani Actress Ayesha Khan Found Dead At Home In Karachi, Body Discovered After Days

Pakistani veteran actress Ayesha Khan, 76, was found dead in her Karachi apartment nearly a week after her passing.

Veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan was discovered dead in her apartment at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Karachi, nearly one week after she had passed away. She was 76 years old.

According to local media reports, Khan had been living alone for several years and had stayed away from the public eye. The corpse of her decomposed body was found after being informed by the neighbors of a foul odor emanating from her house. The police delivered the corpse to Jinnah Hospital for a post mortem to find out the cause and time of her death.

The body was then shifted to the mortuary of the Edhi Foundation in Sohrab Goth following the medical inspection. The police have launched an investigation, questioning neighbours and relatives about her final days.

Born on November 22, 1948, Ayesha Khan was once a household name in Pakistan’s golden era of television. She was the elder sister of celebrated actress Khalida Riyasat, and starred in well known shows such as Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Daraarein, Bol Meri Machli, Saibaan, and Ek Aur Aasman.

She also appeared in films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Muskaan, and Fatima.
