New Delhi: RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, is making waves for its possibility to be included in Oscar 2023 nominations. RRR has been included in two of the categories on Variety’s list of probable Oscar candidates.
According to the magazine, RRR can be nominated for Best Original Song for its song “Dosti.” The song honouring the developing camaraderie between the two main characters was penned by lyricist Hemachandra and was composed by M. M. Keeravani. The list also contains songs like “This is a Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once, “Holy Mu Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, and “Nobody Like U” from Turning Red. Dosti is included in the list.

RRR has been nominated in the Best International Feature category. Argentina 1985, Bardo (or False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths), Close and Holy Spider are the other films in the category.

RRR, a fictitious action drama from director SS Rajamouli, stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the key roles. On March 25, 2022, the movie debuted on many thousand screens. In supporting parts, the movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.
