Nayanthara is currently one of the most successful actresses in South Indian cinema and has left a lasting impression on Bollywood fans as well. Also called ‘Lady Superstar’ by her fans, the ‘Jawan’ star recently announced the sequel of her hit movie ‘Mookuthi Amman’. Amid the excitement about the movie, the actress created a mystery about its director. The makers of ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’ have officially welcomed filmmaker Sundar C as the film’s director.
Sundar C is well known for creating commercial movies and has delivered several box office successes in his career. Announcing the news, the production house Vels Film International wrote on Instagram, “Welcoming The King of Commercial Entertainers, Director Sundar C to the Divine Fantasy World of MA-2 #MookuthiAmman2.”
The other cast and release date of ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’ have not been announced yet.
Talking about its first instalment, the movie focuses on Engels whose life turns upside down after goddess Mookuthi Amman agrees to fulfil his wishes but he has to do something in return. The movie is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen in the movie ‘Annapoorani: The Goddess Of Food’. She will next star in ‘Test’ with Siddharth and R Madhavan.

Sundar C last directed ‘Aranmanai 4’, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Ramachandra Raju, Santhosh Prathap, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh and Delhi Ganesh in the lead roles. The movie became a hit at the box office and is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The filmmaker has a bunch of movies lined up including ‘One 2 One’ and ‘Vallan’.
