Munmun Dutta, known for playing Babita Ji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, posted on Instagram for the first time since reports of her engagement with former co-star Raj Anadkat emerged. She shared throwback photos from her recent trip to New York along with a mysterious message.

“Living my best life! Sharing the last set of pictures from my NYC trip and photoshoot,” Munmun wrote.
On Wednesday, News18 Showsha exclusively revealed that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, stars of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, are engaged. The couple, aged 36 and 27 respectively, exchanged rings earlier this month in a quiet ceremony attended by their families outside Mumbai.
Munmun has dismissed the engagement report, stating, “This news is ridiculous, fake, and ludicrous. Zero ounce of truth in it. And frankly, I don’t want to give my energy to this fake thing that keeps coming up again and again.”
Raj also addressed the engagement report on his Instagram stories, stating, “Hello everyone. Just to clear things up, the news you’ve been seeing on social media is false & baseless.”
It’s worth noting that Munmun portrays Babita in the popular sitcom, while Raj played the role of Tappu, Dilip Joshi’s son in the show. Raj left TMKOC in December 2022.
