New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Kai Po Che!. Following the success of his first Hindi film, the actor appeared in a number of other films. Then came MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, which was a watershed moment in the actor’s film career. In his biopic, he played Indian cricketer MS Dhoni and garnered praise for his portrayal.

Sushant’s MS Dhoni to re-release in theatres on May 12

The film is being re-released in theatres seven years after its initial theatrical release. The film was directed by Neeraj Pandey and starring Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Bhumika Chawla, and Anupam Kher.

The official announcement was made on Twitter. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story will be released in theatres on May 12, 2023.

Star Studios shared a tweet that read, “Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pura India sirf “Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!” chilaayega. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Re-Releasing in cinemas on 12th May (sic).”

All About the Late Actor

Sushant Singh Rajput rose to prominence in Indian television alongside Pavitra Rishta. In the show, the actor played Manav Deshmukh. He was seen in it with Ankita Lokhande. SSR ventured into film after a successful time on television.

Regrettably, the actor died on June 14, 2020. He was discovered dead in his flat in Bandra.
