New Delhi: On Tuesday, February 14, seasoned performer Javed Khan Amrohi passed away at the age of 60. His performances in movies like Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Chak De India, Lagaan, and Andaz Apna Apna made him well-known. His co-star in the film Lagaan, actor Akhilendra Mishra, confirmed the information to AajTak. He acknowledged communicating with him via the WhatsApp group for the Indian People’s Theatre Association.

Javed Khan Amrohi, who appeared in movies like Chak De India and Lagaan, has passed away. He passed away on February 14th. Akhilendra Mishra acknowledged the information and disclosed their relationship. He also disclosed that Javed had not been abstaining from temptation lately.

“We were connected through an IPTA WhatsApp group. I came to know of his death on the same. He stayed in Mumbai with his family. He was not well for some time. I had a long association with him. We started our careers at the same time. We did many films together. We were also part of shows through IPTA. I last met him at the IPTA festival. He was lively. I considered him to be a storehouse of knowledge.”
About Javed Khan Amrohi
Javed Amrohi played a significant role in the movie business. He appeared in movies like Chak De India, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and Lagaan, starring Aamir Khan, to mention a couple. His health had been declining for some time. Lung failure caused his death. His funeral service will take place today, February 15.
