New Delhi: Kevin Costner, a well-known actor in Hollywood, and Christine Baumgartner, his wife of over 18 years, have separated. With the claim of irreconcilable differences, the couple filed for divorce. Together, they have three kids: Cayden (15), Hayes (14), and Grace (12).
In a statement to the media, Costner’s agent said, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.” The statement further stated that, during this trying period, the couple’s and their children’s privacy should be respected.

The handbag designer and model Baumgartner and Costner started dating in 1998. The couple wed in 2004 at his Colorado property, six years later. In addition to his two boys and daughter from his connection with Baumgartner, Costner has four more adult children from prior unions.
Costner previously said in an interview with Extra that Baumgartner gave him an ultimatum before they got married, saying, “If you’re going to be with me, you need to know that kids are at the end of the road for me with you, if that’s going to happen.”
Prior to Baumgartmer, Costner had a 16-year marriage to Cindy Silva that ended in divorce in 1994. In the popular television programme Yellowstone, in which the Season 5 midseason finale aired in January, he plays the patriarch John Dutton of Montana. The second part of the programme is scheduled to premiere this summer.
