Amid huge excitement, the makers unveiled the trailer for Joker 2 titled ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’, featuring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. This sequel to Todd Phillips’ psychological thriller from 2019 is set for release later this year. Joaquin Phoenix returns as Arthur Fleck, also known as The Joker, while Lady Gaga takes on the role of Harley Quinn. Together, they are poised to wreak havoc in Gotham City as partners-in-crime.

The official teaser trailer for Joker 2 was unveiled on Instagram on April 10, accompanied by the caption, “He’s not alone anymore. Joker: Folie Deux – exclusively in theaters and @IMAX, October 4. #JokerMovie #FilmedForIMAX (sic).” The movie has been rated ‘R’ due to its intense violence and nudity.
The trailer opens with Arthur confined in prison, where he encounters Harley. In a striking moment, Harley mimics shooting herself with her hand as a gun and jests, emphasizing her admiration for Arthur’s accomplishments compared to her own.

Harley persuades Arthur to break free from prison, and together, they embark on a wild and chaotic journey, fully embracing each other’s eccentricities and embracing their shared madness.
‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ also boasts an ensemble cast including Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lotte. The highly anticipated film is set to hit theaters on October 4th.
The screenplay for the film is penned by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, while the captivating musical score is crafted by Hildur Guðnadóttir.
