New Delhi: The makers of Diljit Dosanjh starrer Jogi has finally dropped its teaser and it looks intriguing. Jogi is all about a Sikh man, who gets caught up in the 1984 Sikh riots in Delhi. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the first glimpse of the movie was dropped yesterday on social media.
The teaser, that released on Saturday, highlights the life of Jogi along with his family in Delhi just before the tragic riots broke out in 1984. The video shows Diljit as Jogi who vows to protect his loved ones during the disturbing riots.

The teaser has been shared by Netflix. Sharing the video it wrote, “Dekhiye Jogi ka haunsla, Jogi ki himmat, aur Jogi ki dosti. Jogi, streams on 16th September, only on Netflix.”

In a recent interview with a media portal, Diljit said, “The year of my birth is 1984 as well. I have grown up hearing about real life experiences and stories about the riots and the era. In fact, I had even made a Punjabi film, Punjab 1984, sometime back, which won a National Film Award as well. So, the subject is really important for me, and Ali sir has picked the right story.”

The film also stars Kumud Mishra, Amyra Dastur, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Hiten Tejwani. Jogi is all set to stream on Netflix from September 16.
On the work front, Diljit Dosanjh, is basking in the success of Honsla Rakh. Currently busy with his USA music tour.
Recently, Diljit shared a post on Instagram with Priyanka Chopra and Lilly Singh and wrote about the global icons that they are, who have established a strong hold on Hollywood. His caption read, “Love and Respect. @priyankachopra @lilly saanu maan ann sadian kudian te. Jina ne Hollywood vich ja ke dhakk pai aa. LA was a movie.”
